Atlantic Buoy Dying?

For the past week the Atlantic Buoy has only sent messages during the daytime and has missed sending messages completely on cloudy days. Missed reporting again today. Sunlight levels at that latitude are only 20% less than PacBuoy, so it's unlikely simply a solar incidence issue. Since internal temps have not changed much, it's probably not fogging over of the case. More likely, it's the degradation of a power component, most likely the battery. Hopefully it will continue sporadic updates. It is definitely on a good trajectory to catch some faster currents this winter.
