Presenting the Open Source "Maker Buoy"
After nearly two years and 8000 miles for the Atlantic Buoy, I thought it was about time to document the buoy design for anyone who wants to build one, or adapt the software/hardware for other unattended sensor projects. The Maker Buoy is a simplified, smaller version of the original buoy that utilizes a custom PCB and 3-D printed frame to lower the cost and difficulty of constructing your own drifting buoy.
