PacBuoy Likely Gone

Here's the last reported location, seen in Google Maps (North is Up), for PacBuoy. As you can see, it took an unexpected turn to the east yesterday on a direct course for Islas de Todos Santos. The surf there can be legendary in winter (Google Todos Santos Surfing). Yesterday's waves were at least 9 ft and likely higher (http://www.surfline.com/surf-report/todos-santos---killers-northern-baja_6087/). The last transmission came in at 0614 Zulu, so it's now been over 6 hrs without a message. There's a slight chance the buoy somehow survived (accelerometer readings were not extreme, even up to the last message) and only coincidentally ran out of power (it was cloudy yesterday), but the more likely explanation is that it impacted with land and was destroyed.
